At Sunshine Senior Counseling, we understand the unique challenges and emotional complexities faced by seniors and their caregivers. We are a team of Medicare-approved, licensed therapists who specialize in working with older adults and caregivers. Each clinician brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of the unique emotional and psychological needs that arise later in life. Our mission is simple: to help you navigate change with resilience, strength, and positivity.
To ensure comfort and accessibility, we bring care directly to you. We offer in-home counseling services for those who prefer support in familiar surroundings, as well as telehealth counseling via secure video or phone sessions. Our services are available statewide, making it easier for seniors and caregivers across Florida to receive compassionate, expert support regardless of your location or mobility.
Founded by Beth Davalos, MSW, LCSW-S, RPT-S, Sunshine Senior Counseling was built on a foundation of compassion, integrity, and advocacy. Beth’s dedication to mental health and community well-being has been recognized nationwide—she has been featured twice as an expert on 60 Minutes and highlighted by CBS, NBC, Spectrum News 13, and FOX 35 Orlando for her leadership and commitment to improving access to care. Sunshine Senior Counselor’s medicare-approved clinicicans are here to help you or someone you know who might be experiencing mental or emotional distress. We come to you, to provide in-home counseling services or telehealth counseling. We also offer counseling by phone and no video.
How we do it
Tele-health is a secure video conferencing that allows you to speak privately to your therapist on your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. It's easy! All you have to do is click on the link that your therapist sends you by text or email. If you have trouble, your therapist is just a phone call away. Phone counseling is also available without a video camera. This is also covered by Medicare and Medicare Advantage Insurances.
Tele-health is a medical benefit offered through Medicare Part B and does not require a doctor's referral.
